it's obviously completely different when a str8 male rapper uses it but even then i'm struck by how much it's used in a value-neutral sense, and often as the equivalent of "n*gga" - ie vicious slurs just used as substitutes for "men" and "women" one of the most prominent feminist publications around right now is called bitch.
